VETCBD is dedicated to the pursuit of introducing medicinal cannabis to pets and their owners, with the hopes of providing pet owners with medical alternatives for their animals. VETCBD is an all-natural tincture that utilizes CBD - a non-psychoactive cannabinoid - sourced from the full cannabis flower. VETCBD was founded as a pursuit to finding the best health options in veterinary care by Dr. Tim Shu. After receiving his degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University, Dr. Shu worked as a veterinarian in many fields, including general medicine, emergency, and critical care, for seven years. During his time working in the veterinary world, he saw the close connection between pet and owner, seeing the importance of owners acting as advocates on behalf of their pets’ health and wellness. He noticed that many owners were weary of using prescription medications on their pets, fearing adverse side effects. As a veterinarian and animal lover, Dr. Shu saw it as his duty to pursue alternatives for pets and their owners. Dr. Shu was already familiar with the cannabis community before founding VETCBD. As a patient himself, Dr. Shu was familiar with the therapeutic effects with human patients and made it a point to talk with other patients within the community. He began to do extensive research into marijuana and CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid associated with numerous medical benefits and found that CBD was extremely effective in helping with pain relief, seizures, nausea, anxiety, and other pet ailments. By the beginning of 2015, Dr. Shu and his team had created VETCBD.

VETCBD was founded and is formulated specifically for pets by our veterinarian, Dr. Tim Shu. The dose and ratio of CBD to THC has been carefully formulated by Dr. Shu to provide medical benefits of cannabis to our pets, without the psychoactive effects. Since our product is a tincture, the dose is very specific for each patient depending on their weight, as developed by Dr. Shu. We use California-grown, organic medical marijuana to make VETCBD. Our product has only a small amount of THC to help enhance the therapeutic properties of the CBD. By utilizing the flower from CBD-rich cannabis strains, we are able to take advantage of all of the cannabinoids the plant has to offer. Our tincture is also pet safe because we do not use alcohol, which can be harmful to animals even in small amounts, nor do we add anything unnecessary. VETCBD is made with extra virgin olive oil and organically grown California cannabis only.

VETCBD tests their product to ensure quality, safety, and efficacy.  Each bottle of VETCBD contains a 20:1 ratio of CBD to THC. All ingredients are human/medical grade.
